Escaping AbuseLesson 3: Making The Break For GoodDreams and GoalsMost people have hidden talents, dreams, and great ideas. We tend to put our true passions aside due to fear and lack of confidence. Some people will turn their passions into hobbies and work outside of the home doing something they dread and find themselves unhappy at their jobs. But it doesn't have to be this way. We all have the power to make our dreams come true. Exercise #1 What are your dreams? What have you always wanted to do with your life? What have you always wanted to accomplish? Exercise #2 Do you have a craft? Do you have a hobby? What are they? Could you make your hobbies into a moneymaking business? If so, what do you need to do? What materials do you need to start with? Exercise #3 Have you ever thought about going to college? If you had the opportunity to go to college, what would you go for? Why? Exercise #4 Keep a Diary of Dreams. Browse through magazines, newspapers, brochures, newsletters, books, and any kind of reading material. Cut out pictures that represents your dreams. Glue the pictures in a journal. Write about them. Why do you want that dream? What do you have to do to accomplish that dream? How can you make it happen? Design your journal with stickers, glitter, paints, and other scrapbook materials.
