Lesson 2: Aromatherapy Made Easy & Fun

Simple Weight and Measure Techniques and Easy Dilution Table

The following estimated equivalents have been provided for your use. The adjusted amounts are simplified in measuring quantity and dilution ratios, making a once complicated and time-consuming task easy and straightforward.

cc = ml

1 cc = 20 drops

5 cc = 1 teaspoon = 100 drops

10 cc = 2 teaspoons = 200 drops

15 cc = 1 tablespoon = 300 drops

30 cc = 2 tablespoons = 600 drops

½ eyedropper holds approximately 10 drops

1 full eyedropper holds approximately 20 drops

1-once bottle = 30 cc = 2 tablespoons = 600 drops

2-once bottle = 60 cc = 4 tablespoons = 1200 drops

4-once bottle = 120 cc = ½ cup = 8 tablespoons = 2400 drops

8-once bottle = 240 cc = 1 cup = 16 tablespoons = 4800 drops

1% dilution: for children, the elderly, expectant mothers...
2% dilution: for typical whole body lotions and oils
3% dilution: for concentrate massage oil (local areas)

Antioxidant: is the equivalent of 10% of the total carrier volume. This is the recommended amount of antioxidant to add to vegetable oils to prevent them from oxidizing (optional).
