Project Management 101
By Jason KalraLesson 7: Developing Yourself as a Project Manager
In this lesson, we'll discuss ways that you can develop your project management skills, abilities, and knowledge.
Welcome!
We've spent our first seven lessons together focusing on some of the professional skills required by a Project Managers.
Now that we've done that, I'd like us to gather together, grab a spot on the floor, forget about the business of project management for a moment, and get a little abstract.
In this lesson, we'll look at what I feel are really, really, REALLY important skills that a Project Manager needs to have. I have deliberately chosen the word skills rather than personality characteristics or personal suitability factors because I really think that these things are true skills, and need to be understood, cultivated, and sharpened throughout a career.
