Lesson 1: The Kitchen Rules

Things You'll Need For This Course

Here is a list of all the ingredients you will need to complete the course:

  • 11 ounce can of mandarin oranges
  • 8 ounce can of crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter or margerine
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 2 (28) ounce cans of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 (14.5) ounce can of black olives
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • One box of pasta in the shape of your choice

You won’t need any special cooking tools. Have available:

  • mixing bowl
  • mixing spoons
  • can opener
  • medium frying pan or skillet
  • spatula
  • measuring spoons and cups
  • sauce pans
  • 8"x8" baking dish

    You'll also need kitchen towels, pot holders, and it's always a great idea to have an apron.
