Lesson 1: The Kitchen Rules
Hi! Welcome to our class Kids in the Kitchen. The kitchen is my favorite room in the house. It’s where cookies come from. It’s where cake comes from. It’s where my favorite dinner comes from. And now kids can start making really tasty stuff in the kitchen too. This course shows a children how exciting cooking can be. Going step by step, by either having the class read out loud to them or reading out loud to an adult, children will learn basic kitchen skills while making delicious food. For example, they’ll learn important cooking terms and then with the help of an adult make “Toad in the Holes” a fun breakfast egg and toast dish. By the end, the children will have a basic knowledge of the kitchen and have made four dishes. But first a few more details before we get started.

Class One: Syllabus, learn kitchen rules and make Five Cup Salad
