Lesson 5: Adjuvant Therapy & Possible Side Effects

Various therapy including radiation, chemotherapy and possible side effects

A Rose By Any Other Name...

Just a quick hug for all of you. The section in this lesson on chemotherapy is extremely long. It's not meant as the definitive work on chemo, nor does it include many pharmaceutical agents used for special cases or for metastatic disease. It's just meant as a broad overiew of HOW the process happens, SOME of the POSSIBLE side effects and coping with them and helpful items, such as a PORT.

Don't be dismayed by the length of the section and the amount of links. Browse through it; reread it, paying attention to what you personally need or want to know, and then move forward.

If you've hung in with me this long, you can get through this lesson also. Again, a gentle reminder that not every woman develops any or all or none of the potential side effects. Take it all with a grain of salt and enjoy your day, secure in the knowledge that you are preparing yourself the best you can for all possibilities.
