Lesson 7: Follow up

Cold Calls

Hate the cold shoulder? Hate it when you get calls from telemarketers at home? Hate me when I tell you that’s the best way to get a job in ANY economy?

Cold Calls in the business environment are not necessarily viewed as an interruption – most companies have a sales department that does just that – cold calls; so they return the favour and at least listen to the cold call. Which is all you need.

Yes, at first glance the cold call statistics don’t sound inviting – who wants to hear no so often? Well, it IS easier to get rejection letters or no response, but if that isn’t getting you any interviews – give the cold call a try at least.

My business depends on it. While I constantly answer published ads in any media, it’s often my cold call that gets me some work in difficult times – any strangely it’s not from the initial cold call, but the person REFERS me to someone else, and I get that contract!

There’s an article that I want you to read, copy and USE. (wish it was around when I started!)

The success of that article speaks for itself.
