Sidney

Sidney Spit Marine Park
Sidney Island
Ferry Access at Sidney Marina (foot of Beacon Ave.)
Located on Sidney Island, this fantastic park features white sandy beaches, forests, meadows, grasslands, bluffs, marshlands, lagoons and the sandbar called the Sidney Spit. Wildlife is abundant both on land and in the water. There is no vehicle traffic on the Sidney Island and access is either by passenger ferry or private boat. This is a popular area for day hikes and camping, although there is a limited number of campsites. When it's low tide, visitors can walk for miles out on Sidney Spit.
