View Royal
Located west of Esquimalt this residential area forms part of the Western Communities. View Royal hugs Portage Inlet, which is at the end of the Gorge Waterway. The Waterway stretches to Victoria and is popular for canoeing and kayaking. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the waterway and feed the waterfowl along the way. Many prestigious homes border the walkway.
There are several regional parks that offer hiking and inland lakes. The rolling hills in these parks give visitors panoramic views of Victoria, the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains in Washington State.
Residents can enjoy the full services in the neighboring communities plus a close proximity to Victoria for work or play.
