Section 7-3: Exercising your Agenda.

After going through these lessons you have to exercise your agenda. You have to maintain what you have learned from the series so far and determine how to continue to develop your personal writing agenda utilizing the tips presented here, if you desire to do so.

We all know and understand that exercise is something we are taught to perform routinely. Any exercise instructor will tell you that practice, repetitions, and not giving up develops the best results. It is the same with writing and the use of Guided Imagery. You need to continue practicing your writing enhancement exercises. You need to stick to the regime of development as a writer.

It may be easiest to select a handful of ideas presented in this lesson series to make a daily quotient of your writing agenda. Certainly, the meditations are variable and you need to choose a type that is most agreeable to your disposition and life situation. I hope that you have done this during the lesson series.

Brainstorming within a public setting without acknowledgement that you are doing so, may not be a comfortable thing to do initially, but with practice you will learn that it truly is a natural social mechanism. Sitting, talking, asking questions, gaining ideas-some of the greatest stories shared over time have been derived through these scenarios. Social settings giving way to greater understanding, wisdom, and those things leading to terrific story telling arts. Don't be afraid to implement real-time interviews to aid your writing where applicable.

The use of Guided Imagery will enhance your ability to tap into the subconscious and make it an active participant in your compilations. Knowing you can tap into this resource will help your conscious mind hold onto memories longer, so that when the stories fleet across your thoughts, their residual in the active mind will intensify.

Each area we have encompassed in this lesson series has proactive application in your daily regime of exercising your agenda. As with any exercise program you should now determine what, when, where, how often you will engage in these skills presented. Make a calendar if need be, definitely note in your journals, if you are going to use Guided Imagery twice daily-write it down, if you plan to meditate once a day-write it down, if you reconfigure your personal workspace-write down when, what, and why, go through each phase of this lesson series and note what you have accepted to use and make a journal entry. This sounds silly, but once your active self has noted a journal entry it will assist your whole self in follow through to make exercising your agenda a consistent and rational experience. You will be amazed at the difference in follow-through once you commit yourself to yourself through writing it down.

From this fact, you can understand the weight that writing carries, in all facets of your being. Embrace that knowledge and avail it.
