A book club can be a wonderful social gathering with those you care about, discussing the wonders of books. Great ideas and tips will be outlined to demonstrate the effectiveness of starting a book club and reaping the benefits.

Introduction to the wonderful world of book clubs

Books and more books! I love reading. Ok, I know you probably have guessed that. Well this is the fun part of my course. To really let our fingers loose and eyes get wider with anticipation. This is when the joy of reading takes flight and we are bound to places you never imagined. All right. Enough of the jive talk and let's begin discussing the wonderful world of book clubs.

First, ask the questions below and if the answer is yes to all of them you are sure to be successful in forming a book club. If you answer no to one of them, don’t worry, you will change your mind later on in the course.

1. Do you love books?

2. Do you enjoy reading your particular genre of fiction, or non-fiction on a specific subject matter?

3. Is the discussion of the book more enticing and rewarding when other like-minded or even un-like minded readers of the book talk about the contents in detail?

4. Do you wake up in the middle of the night just so you can read the next page or chapter out of curiosity to find what is to come?
