Lesson 7: Everything in Its Place: Getting Your House in Order

Points to Consider

I think the most important lesson we can take away from lesson seven is that if something doesn’t work in your house, try again. I used to get so frustrated when I came up with what I just knew was the perfect solution and it didn’t work. Finally, I figured out that no two kids are alike, and just because it worked for someone else, or sounded great to me, didn’t mean it would work for my kids.

Please think about the following questions:

What ways have you been successful in getting your kids to help around the house?

Have you ever worked on goal setting with your kids? What worked or didn’t work for you?

What do you do when you hear the dreaded cry “Mooooooooooom! I’m Boooooored!!”
