In this exercise developed by The Peace Corps, you are to try to rephrase the direct statement in a more indirect manner. For example, instead of saying, "I don't think that's such a good idea" you can say/ask "Do you think that's a good idea? Are there any other ideas? I like most parts of that idea."

3. What do you think Mr. Cato? (What can you do to find out what he thinks without calling on him directly? It may embarrass him for you to do so.)
