Cultural Homeogeneity

How many cultural elements do the members of the same culture actually share? In homophilous cultures the answer is a lot. It is easier to view the people in these types of cultures as a whole. They speak the same language, have the same religion and belief system.

Cultures in which there are many differences are called heterophilous cultures. In these cultures, one needs to realize that even though generalizations can be made about the culture, the people tend to act more as individuals and thus need to be defined as such.
