Explore in greater depth the history of the stock market.
Instructions
This week you'll visit the history sections of major stock market Web sites such as: NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ, as well as take a quick stroll through memory lane at the Museum of American Financial History.
- New York Stock Exchange has an information-packed site. To get to the history area, click, "About the Exchange," then "Historical Perspective." Spend as much time as you like exploring the Timeline, Fact Book, History of the Building, and Firsts & Records areas.

- American Stock Exchange is younger than the NYSE, but its origins also date back the late 1700s.

- NASDAQ is the baby of the group, but also the fastest growing.
