Heart Disease/Diabetes
Heart disease and diabetes occur due to the following risk factors: smoking, obesity, lack of exercise, elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, and hypertension. Both diseases can result in a coronary, cardiac arrest, fibrilation, palpitations, arryhthmias, high blood sugar and insulin levels, or Type I or Type II diabetes.
Heart disease and diabetes can be avoided and better managed by healthy living, so we will discuss diet and ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine while reducing the risk factors listed above.
We'll also review testing for congenital heart disease, coping with pacemakers, drug treatments, surgery, and recovery.
