Greek History

Greece gave the western world civilization, law, society and crucially democracy. The Greek influence on the Medterranean area ensure city states were encouraged to coalesce and form states. Alexander the Great was the only ever western conqueror of Afghanistan.

The rich cultural influence of Greece endures. Greek traders and modern business people are found throughout Africa and along with the Lebanese (derived from the great seafarers, the Phoenicians) are driving forces throughout moden Africa.
