» emom - retaining water for later

we live in the fla keys, it doesn't rain much here. when it does we try to catch & hold as much as we can. to that end we installed 6inch gutters on the roof, they are connected to a 6inch down spout which dumps into a 28 ft boat that was abandoned/ it holds 3200 gals we use aprox 60 gals. a day for gardens,(# mare boars. they retain what water they get during rains thus lessening the use of water in cistern boat. these boat a watered via a "waterfall" pump in the boat and plumed to boats which have sprinkler head over top. each can receive, or not via a valve. mosquitos are controlled by our local mosquito control. (county controlled) at no charge. thought you'd appreciate, any comments snd to emomdotpop@webtv.net
