Welcome to Suite101. It's great to see another writing topic. Have you written much Science Fiction? Who is your favorite author? Where would you categorize Piers Anthony? SciFi or Fantasy?I love his Xanth series.

I've been writing science fiction since about the second grade, and while I did amuse fellow students and the occasional teacher, it is only recently that I have begun to produce what can be termed as publishable science fiction. My favorite author? I can't pick just one! It depends on my mood. Connie Willis is great. Kurt Vonnegut is one of my personal deities Philip K. Dick has been a tremendous influence. Recently, I have become engrossed in the work of Kage Baker. She's an extremely talented and prolific writer. I'll stop now, but there's a lot of writers who I love and haven't even mentioned. I would definitely categorize Piers Anthony as fantasy. Thanks for the welcome note. I am looking forward to being part of this community. I think I'll have a lot of fun.
