Although many of the newer shows mentioned in this article are now off the air or in syndication, it does point out how scripts have been updated to reflect the times.

In a way, it's good that many of these old TV shows are preserved because you certainly gain an understanding of the role of women. You can also appreciate how much has changed.

I'm glad you enjoyed the article, Jerri. It is a nice trip down memory lane.
