» kristin6 - I just need some encouragment

Hi. I've probably had Hashimoto's for 3+ years. I was diagnosed in January with a TSH of 5.9. I began Synthroid 75 in May and had a great rally at about 6 weeks. Short sleeves at work, sandals, lost some weight. Since then I've been on a roller coaster and can't lose a pound to save my life. My tests came back good. TSH is down to 1 and my Free T4 is at 1.2. I told my Dr. that I still have symptoms, so this week I began on Synthroid 88.

My energy is back for the most part. I try to work out 6-7 days a week for 1 hour at a time. I'm a cyclist, and today I rode with a friend for 75 minutes. I felt strong during the ride, but I'm wiped out now. I'm also freezing!! Yesterday, I was fine.

Is it normal to have day to day fluctuations in my symptoms?

Also, any tips on how to determine my metabolism? I have set my basal to that of an invalid person and under count my workout calories burned. Then I deprive by 500 calories a day. Still I am only maintaining my weight. I'm wondering if I should cut back even more? I'm going to STARVE!
