<img src="http:/files/topics/902/files/bdcake170x145.gif" width=170 height=145 alt="7 Candle Birthday Cake with a Bang" align=right>Nancy is a form of Anna, the Hebrew name which means "gracious," and that graciousness shows in her writing.

Talking about the meaning of names, Nancy has strong views on what people call each other in various situations. You can find out about that in her article, "What's in a Name?"

Enjoy your special day and make the most of it.

I too have strong sentiments on names: My name is Vicki, not Victoria, and many people automatically assume it's shortened.

They also take liberty to spell it any way they want (Vickie, Vicky, etc.), no matter how many times I spell it correctly.

Just my 2 cents! :-)
