Children can learn about Evangeline and the Acadians in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. They might even find some amethyst washed up on the shore. I did. They would also learn about poetry, because Evangeline is a fictional character representing all the women who went through that traumatic period of history.-- posted by biogardener
