She certainly led an interesting and exciting life! I read a short story by Alcott titled "Transcendental Wild Oats" in which she only thinly veils her sarcasm and contempt for her father during a real life family experience. It really gives you an idea of what her parents were like and how their relationship might have shaped her.-- posted by BeckySAHM
