Hi Megan,

I resisted reading the Harry Potter books for the longest time, simply because they're children's books and I'm not a child (although I wish I were after reading them), and I don't have children. Last week, however, I started reading the Harry Potter books and became so enamored with them that I didn't do much else but read them. Yesterday, I finished the 4th book in the series, and today I feel like beginning all over. There is so much to appreciate in the clever plots, humorous names and puns, magical worlds, and the interwoven sub-stories from volume to volume. I can see why young readers love them. Your article, for me, is very timely. Thanks for the scoop on the wizard behind the pen!

Pamela,

I haven't read them either, for the same reasons you described. But they come highly recommended by my 10-year-old cousin. And now that I know at least one other adult who has read them, I just might start. Thanks.
