» H2O - Hi!

Green Bay is the Toilet Paper Capital of the World.

And for decades the local football team was "in the crapper!"

The Fox River is one of the few rivers in the nation that flows north.

I believe there are only three rivers in the world that flow north: The Fox (along whose banks I grew up), the Nile, and I believe one in Russia.

In response to message posted by H2O:

But do Green Bay Packer fans ever truely give up on their team anymore than Cub's fans give up on their team?

Wisconsin is an interesting state. There is always something more to learn about it.

» Dan_Ellsworth - Wisconsin cheese: Not just quantity

Almost 30 years ago, Judy and I were in Wisconsin, maybe a little north of the center of the state, and decided we couldn't leave the state without stopping at a cheese store. We got to sample some three-year aged cheddar. I expected an immediate kick of sharp-cheddar sharpness. It was more subtle, at first. I got as far as thinking, "This isn't very ..." when I discovered that it WAS very -- very sharp and richly flavored.

Peggy, you've collected a lot of information here. Thanks for a concentration of links and facts.
