» Valjean - Do some proper research Audra

Where the hell did you get this information girl? You must have been full of Chardonnay to pull out the 'vanilla oak' and the 'Viticulturist like the vines because they are resilient vines that are easy to cultivate and produce a generous crop. The grape is very malleable creating quite a range of styles' That is bullshit. They like the vines because the winemakers like to make the wine because of it's versatillity and market value. I hope that this was just an assignment of yours and I you quit the wine write ups in the near future.

Valjean.

» Audra - Valjean you are a self-proclaimed connoisseur.

In response to message posted by Valjean:

Well Valjean you are a self-proclaimed connoisseur. But I think you have been a little obtuse with this discussion and missed the mark. There are many styles of Chardonnay. The French generally produce a crisp dry Chardonnay while the American Napa Valley is generally full bodied, well oaked and buttery. The Chardonnay grape is very versatile and is known as one of the main grapes in Champagne as well as Chablis, Montrachet, Pouilly Fuisse and many more. If you don’t believe me here is a list of terms to describe the flavours you can find in a bottle of Chardonnay, I received this from a Vancouver hotel wine club. Apple, grapefruit, lime, clove, crisp, pear, apple, charred oak, yeast, smoky, creamy, pineapple, hazelnut, apricot, peach, vanilla, anise, and toasted almonds. Maybe you should try more than one type or location and you will find Chardonnay can be very versatile. As for its profitability, well that goes without saying. It is one of the top two sellers for white wine in the world. I really don't see your view at all so I hope this is enough for you to see mine.
