I think standing under a water sprinkler would be best. You just never know what will be lurking at the bottom of a wading pool!

I'm reading a book with the story set in Florida. The author writes only about Florida and suspense/crime and this one is about tourists.

Anyway, one scene has a croc in a hotel swimming pool! I need say no more. smile

Water sprinklers are my kind of water sports now. In my youth, I use to swim out to the sand bars, past the very deep water where the sharks reside, and stand there like an idiot waving at people on shore.

I used to dog paddle. That way, I could see the shark fins before one of them had me for lunch. Being ecologically friendly, I didn't want to polute the ocean with my precious blood.

I was never any good at dog paddling but I sure could float well. smile

I'm wondering just how many of those fins I saw back in the day were actually sharks. We (the rest of the crazy group) always said "it's just a porpoise". I dont' know how I managed to survive my own stupidity. smile

Hi Vickie:

Were you wearing Este Lauder? I hear that it is a great shark repellant.

Este Lauder was way too expensive for me. I was doing good to be wearing the Avon "fragrance of the month" special! Just an fyi, one of their lotion items does actually repell mosquitos!

No, I don't have any new actual thoughts; I just felt like condensing all the "Re:" units in the Subject line. Do we have a Suite101 record here, or would that require so many "Re:" units the original Subject line would disappear in its entirely? I already seemed to have us down to "Sounds F", which . . . which . . .

Sounds Fishy.

There. You want topical? You got topical.

Oh, by the way. If a fish this dangerous is actually being sold, and we try to educate its owners against releasing it in the wild, eventually I think an education campaign only 99.44% successful would be overwhelmed. The 0.66% who release fish into the wild might be enough to devastate huge watersheds.

Hey Dan,

I think the Subject line would go "to infinity and beyond!" as Buzz L. would say. smile

Wasn't it the old Ivory soap commercial that quoted "99.44, 100 percent pure?"

My brain is on a roll today!

You're right about the .66%!

Right, I got the number from old Ivory ads. Did it float?

Maybe some fish or other organisms are just too nasty to sell. I hate to propose regulations in our much-regulated society, but sometimes we need them.
