Connie,

I'm glad they came to their senses. Buffalo are near extinction and there's no reason for them to be hunted. We were brought up that you only hunted for food. My Dad and Grandpa hunted to put meat on the table and the skins of animals were often turned into a piece of clothing. Rabbits especially were great. Dad used to make us 3 kids rabbit fur mittens. There were never a warmer pair. However, he never hunted rabbits just to make the mittens. If they weren't needed for food, they weren't hunted at all.

Thanks for letting us know that this controversial hunt was cancelled.

I wish that everyone in this controversy would sit down and decide what is best for the bison. Something tells me that may never happen.
