» jerrib - Excellent photos and plant list

I'm trying as time goes on to get more and more butterfly-loving plants into my garden. Thanks for the info.

Ya know Jerri...

Where attracting butterflies was concerned, I was always torn between native gardening and stuff not native to Ohio, but wqould attract butteflies. so I went both ways...yikes! That sounds, um, intriguing. (smile)

Anyway...stuff like lantana did make it into the yard, but Ohio native speicies dominated.

I gotta tell ya, Common milkweed was probably the most popular plant wth the butterflies. An incredible variety were drawn to the nectar...and bergamots...they were popular too.

I miss the photo ops my garden afforded me...
