The only primrose I know is the fragrant evening primrose which grows in gardens in Germany. I remember walking in German cities after dark and enjoying the lovely perfume. The color also seems to be irridescent in the dark.-- posted by biogardener

The Evening Primrose common to the east sometimes have a very delicious friagracne, and sometimes has no gragracne at all. My daughter and I used to sit and watch 'em open as dusk twilight swelled around us.
