The only primrose I know is the fragrant evening primrose which grows in gardens in Germany. I remember walking in German cities after dark and enjoying the lovely perfume. The color also seems to be irridescent in the dark.

Sounds lovely...

The Evening Primrose common to the east sometimes have a very delicious friagracne, and sometimes has no gragracne at all. My daughter and I used to sit and watch 'em open as dusk twilight swelled around us.
