Mother Nature is so big and massive, sometimes I have a hard time convincing myself that anything we do will destroy her on a long-term scale, even as I do activist work.

We're talking about a very complicated and intricate pattern of physical and magical links here. Magic is good for a lot of things, but on a scale of healing a planet that has mostly physical damage (chemical as well as nuclear) I don't think magic can do the job on its ow. You need people actually working towards changing how things are done in the world, not lighting candles and/or chanting encantations.

In addition to doing a spell to help bring the right job opporunities to me I'm also sending out resumes to companies in my field and tirelessly combing Monster.com
Magic could certainly help with environmental efforts, but you're right... unless people get off their backsides and DO something in addition to chanting, it's going to be nearly impossible to bring about change.
