That was a cool little essay. I can relate. Sometimes I think the best way to enjoy a movie is to be a kid.

Man I'm a crappy editor. I'm sorry--I forgot to check my discussion page for, oh, a month. But thank you very much for the compliment. I have no idea what my 17 (seventeen!) subscribers want to read on this thing, so I'll just keep writing whatever comes in my head. I know, I know, self-promotion... all that crap. Who needs it? One day I'm gonna invite my seventeen fans over for a toga party and only serve whiskey and tequila, cause as near as I can tell that's all they drank in the old west. Maybe it's better there's only 17 coming--my $20/month stipend makes it hard to keep the saloon well-stocked.

Nah, don't worry about your response time. I usually just scan the What's New section every other day or so--as I'm sure a lot of posters do. Though I mostly look for articles, if there happens to be a discussion post too, great. It's no big deal.

You're still new to the suite, so you'll eventually have more readers. I just started promoting myself and writing for ProjectNapa and my numbers went way up; it's been great to get more e-mails too. (ProjectNapa is at http://peek.projectnapa.com I highly recommend it if you want to get your URL out there.) You also have highly specialized topic, so you'll have to find the Western fans!

Personally, you are one of my favorite writers at Suite101--a great mix of informative and funny. Your articles have done much to increase my interest in Westerns, a genre I'd never gotten into very much. I also love your creative ideas, so keep up the great work. You're doing a wonderful job!

You're the best Kendahl--thanks! To be honest with you, I can't criticize other people for not checking out my site--I rarely get around to reading any of their stuff either. The only site I read regularly is this one called "Classic Actresses"--you should check it out sometime! Each article is better than the one before it, and the subjects are always fascinating. Damn fine, if I do say so myself.

Well aren't we a part of mutual admiration society? Thanks so much! I also have trouble getting to all the other topics that look interesting. Every once in a while I find something new that I like though.

I enjoyed the "Gunfight" review. It made me realize I hadn't really been paying attention when I watched that movie. I loved the chemistry between Lancaster and Douglas and it was difficult for me to focus on anything else!
