New Grandbaby!!

I'd nearly forgotten how deliciously wonderful babies can be, but I was also not prepared for just how magical THIS particular one is....wow. At six weeks old, he's a whole lot more 'present' than most adults I know. And while my daughter had mentioned that she thinks he's seeing and TALKING to faeries all over the place, I got to SEE him do this wonderful little scene day after day. He suddenly catches sight of 'something' and locks ON. If you move him, his gaze stays fixed. But if ~it~ moves he follows ~it~ with his eyes and coos and gurgles and smiles and laughs...it's like he's LISTENING very intently to long and interesting stories and his face responds to every bit of it. And then he'll come back and look you RIGHT in the eyes.....it was really something. It was JUST wonderful how quickly he recognized me as Granny and got all comfy in my arms or on my lap. Yummy stuff......nice, too, to see how quickly all those baby-holding instincts come right back...nice to know I haven't lost it.
My daughter Phoenix and her husband, Gerrick are just WONDERFUL parents. This little guy is off to a SPLENDID start.
