» Renie_Burghardt - My New Friend Wow, interesting! Warrants further research on my part. Thank you! Renie-- posted by Renie_Burghardt » LadyB - LYME UPDATE I just wanted to give all you Lymers an update on my own progress. In a word, SPLENDID.A week after starting to take the Teasel Root last July, (which I decided to do after two TERRIFYING weeks of symptoms) I gave a bellydancing PERFORMANCE. If EVER any of you could have seen me at my LymeWorst, you'd KNOW that is a triumph of Oscar-winning proportions. And so it has gone. I've remained symptom-free (except perhaps the morning of 9/11 when, for the first time, my nerves began to SHAKE from the inside, but that has to be understandable). But I have gone on to begin TEACHING bellydancing and could conceivably have five classes going per WEEK. BELIEVE me, you don't do that on Lyme Joints, or misfiring nerves, or fatique attacks, or not being able to figure out which is your LEFT hip! I just want to be the voice of SURVIVAL here. I want ANY of you who have EVER been subjected to anyone PRONOUNCING that YOU WILL NEVER GET OVER IT to give 'em back a good Bronx Cheer. No, of course I cannot guarantee that everyone who's ever had Lyme will be 100% cured by taking Teasel Root, I know better than that, and even Matt Wood is talking a 75% 'cure' rate...but I don't think 75% of chronic Lymers are dancing around feeling CURED, either. But I am. That's all I'm saying. I had eight, and possibly NINE cases over a period of NINETEEN YEARS, and NOW I'm dancing. You come to your own conclusion. Everyone's dance with an illness is their own journey. Step one is realizing you are not being PUNISHED, you're being CHANGED. Then get out there and look for your own healing. Some folks would like for me to admit to being a VICTIM of lyme because I made the decision to give up my professional gardening career. Yes, it was a very difficult decision, but once I WENT with it, all KINDS of new things began to open up. And how interesting that I didn't meet up with the Teasel UNTIL I HAD made that decision. So, folks, if you spend any time on the Internet researching Lyme, you're going to read plenty of "My Life Is Ruined!".....I just want to be a voice that says "Mine's NOT!!" with a big smile -- posted by LadyB
