The end of the SAD period is upon us. February 2nd marks the approximate start of solar spring, ending the darkest period of the year for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Daylength, the main culprit in SAD will be increasing rapidly for the next three months. -- The Weather Doctor

» Carol Wallace - Interesting

Here I've been thinking that I turned anti-social - and all along it was SAD!

I guess I'd better sharpen my pruning shears and try to get out into the daylight!

Those of us here in NW WA get our share of gray. Amazing how much we talk of sunshine when it comes. Lots of folks even take days off work just to see the sun and play! Jerri

» phoehne - It is beginning

The SAD season is upon us again. I can feel the difference. I go to work in the dark, I go home in the dark. There are days I never see daylight at all. It is good to keep in mind why we are feeling less social and more fatigued. There are good lights that can be used to alleviate some of the symptoms.

Take care everyone. Merry Christmas!!
