A Grey Water MiracleRead the article this discussion is about

» Red - grey water... Linda,I'm not sure if your story is true or fictional, but Whiskey Joe sure had some great ideas. I was brought up on a farm that had no electricity or running water. We learned young to conserve our water supply. We carried water from the well for drinking and water from the cistern for washing dishes, clothes and bathing. We watered the livestock by driving them to the creek and in winter, many times we had to haul water from the creek for them because the hill was too icy for them to get down. A lot of work. We were taught that water was the source of life and that every drop was precious. I enjoyed your article. Glad I found it through the Environment Newsletter. -- posted by Red » lbondx - Re: grey water... Thanks! I have been trying to write more fiction shorts and find I always seem to do better getting my ideas across that way. It's different for someone who's written mostly nonfiction all my life.I try to do what I can to reuse rather than just recycle and I find there are so many handy ways to keep waste a little under control. Anyway, I suspect you learned some things from your younger days just like I did. Take care and thanks again... -- posted by lbondx
