My Stately Friends - TreesRead the article this discussion is about
This archived discussion is "read only". « Previous 1 2 3 Next » » Tina_Coruth - Wonderful! Hi Jerri,What a wonderful article. Sometimes I think we tend to take trees for granted. I enjoyed reading "Trees" again, Nash's parody (I had never seen the parody!) and your article. I love the photo, too. Thank you! Tina -- posted by Tina_Coruth » scuba_steve - Trees Jerri,I enjoyed your article very much and thank you for stopping by to read my somewhat related article, "Walking In a Wooded Winter Wonderland". I am sad to hear that you will no longer be hosting the topic at Suite101. I have enjoyed your articles as well as your comments. Good luck with all that you do! -- posted by scuba_steve » jerrib - Re: Beautiful Trees In response to message posted by lperry:Thanks, Lisa. I do not host this site anymore, but am still stopping by to reply to comments. Hope they find someone to take over soon. Trees do have a spiritual majesty; what a great way to put it. Isn't Ogden Nash a kick? We've moved and I can't find my poetry book yet, so I just may have to get another. Thanks for stopping in. I'll be a regular visitor to your tasty site. -- posted by jerrib » jerrib - Re: DITTO In response to message posted by roslinds:Roslinds, such a beautiful thought in your song. Thanks for sharing. I guess I can't imagine life without trees. We lived in a forest on the west side and I'm adjusting to being out of firs, hemlocks, etc., and now into pines. All trees are beautiful. If folks can't see that, they are missing a very important part of life. Best to you, and I will remember to sit by a tree when I need to! -- posted by jerrib » _Boanerges_ - my tree In response to Re: I too posted by jerrib:Nice article, jerri!.. Washington is full of beautiful trees!.. Oh my.. coming to your topic makes me miss so much that which I love! I'm longing to get back to Washington and just look at all God's beauty.... Here is a picture of my tree, which I planted when I was about 8 (I think).. That was some 35 years ago! My Tree -- posted by _Boanerges_ » jerrib - Re: my tree In response to my tree posted by _Boanerges_:Well, come on back! Washington would love to have you. How neat you planted an evergreen and have been able to watch it grow. My daughter did that at an elementary school when she was about 10, so it would be 30 years old by now. One of these days we'll have to go back and look; it was in Poulsbo. Glad you are enjoying surfing Washington online, at least. Thanks for "digging up bones." It's nice to visit an old article now and then. -- posted by jerrib « Previous 1 2 3 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
