It's a deal! We are considering moving to eastern WA, about a six-hour-drive away from this - so plan to spend some time.

So true. It would be fun to do it at least once. I mentioned we used to go to a restaurant in Salt Lake City that had six courses.

We also did a many-coursed dinner around Port Townsend in an old farm house that was prepared by two University of Washington professors. It's no longer in business, but I do remember the meal. It was themed "Northern Italy," and the main course was salmon! Of course we had wonderful lasagne with star anise in it.

Meals like that stay with you forever, if they are good. The Salt Lake restaurant did great Veal Cutlets and I remember biting into my first anchovy - a garnish!

Hi Jerri,

As always, I enjoyed my tour with you to these interesting places. I think it is very interesting to see how things are made. The restaurant meal sounds fascinating, but I'm not sure either my pocketbook or my waistline could handle such an extended feast!

I'm sad that you are retiring from your ME position. I have always appreciated your support and interest in my topic. You've been great! And I'll keep coming back (virtually) to Washington State as long as you're writing about it.

Wishing you all the best.

Linda

In response to message posted by Jonell:

I haven't been there either, but it is well known throughout WA and perhaps the world. We are going to the Oregon Coast for our anniversary or I would have booked dinner reservations there.

Thanks for taking time to read my articles.

» RDLarson - fun and enjoyment

We've done similar trips in California's Napa Valley and it's always fun. Now I have to check out Washington. Just got back from a week with kids at Whistler's -- my what fun. Hope all is fine with you.

Whistler is fun, RD. Glad you had the time with your kids. It's so pretty there.

We were in E WA scouting around for property. Just got back.
