You can find the Betty MacDonald Fan Club and Society if you use the Search Engines Yahoo or Google. Betty wanted to write the real story but her publisher refused. I was really shocked after reading the real story.

I forgot to mention that Betty's sister Alison knew Bob very well and she had been interviewed.
You can read this in THE EGG AND BETTY.
( published by Betty MacDonald Society )
Betty described her marriage with Bob in several letters. ( see The egg and Betty )
She had to describe Bob the way she did in The egg because her publisher told her to do so.
Betty was very sad about this because she wanted to write the real story.

You'll receive the stories via email and you have no problems with the download. I have a very old computer - my husband is always teasing me - and I had no problems to receive the stories.
