Thanks for stopping in, RD. I've meant to get a thank you out for your poetry book - I love it. Last week really threw me off. You'll hear from me soon. Thanks for thinking of me. Glad you enjoyed this. Hope you're both surviving the tragedy in our country. Bless you, friend.

Though this article got overshadowed by the terrorist attacks, thought you might like to still read about this lovely castle in Lakewood near Tacoma. Great place to visit and spend some time.

Hi Jerri,

I'm just now getting around to reading this interesting article about Thornewood Castle. It sounds like a fantastic place to visit for afternoon tea or to stay (if you have deep pockets). I'm always glad to read about a wonderful place like this that has been restored and is open for people to enjoy.

You have a knack for writing about intriguing places.

Hope things are going well for you.

Linda

Hi Linda:

I haven't been so good about getting around to visit folks and catch up on my reading, either! It's great to see you stop in. I, equally, love reading about all the wonderful dinnerware you share with us.

Things are great here. Just returned from a sojourn to eastern WA and Idaho with a little Montana thrown in. It was a nice break. Love WA but love to see new things, too.

Jerri, your trip sounds great. I have a friend from Texas who just spent some time in Idaho and Montana. She and her husband are working their way home now in their RV. She said Montana was breathtakingly beautiful. I'm sure this was the perfect season to visit. Glad you were able to get away for a few days. I think being out and seeing beautiful natural scenes restores our souls. We all need a bit of restoring right now, I think.

Linda

You're right about that, Linda. I got a breathtaking picture of the Tetons from the Idaho side (tourist brochures normally show it from the Wyoming side). Will keep me happy for a while.
