Thank you for a lovely tour of an emotionally stirring place that I have not had the privilege to visit.

Thanks for stopping in.

I don't know about your neighborhood, but if you are in the US I'm sure you may find similar memorials. If you do ever get to Washington, this is definitely a great place to visit. Though there's a lot of reminders of folks who gave their lives for our freedom, it's also a calming campus to take time to just sit and reflect.

» Red - interesting ...

Jerri, I found this article very interesting. That picture of your State Capitol is great. The monuments on the grounds are fantastic. The winged one and the Vietnam Memorial are great tributes to those who fought to keep the US free.

Thanks for sharing this bit of your State with us. I hope you do a future article on the Capitol building. I would love to see a photo of the rotunda and the chandelier. What a shame that the building was damaged in the earthquake.

Take care my friend. I will be in touch soon. Hope you are well.

Hi Mary: I will do another article on the interior of the capitol. It really is grand. I love to go visit just to feel proud I live in this state, though I can do that all by myself!

Thanks for stopping in. Jerri

Thanks so much, Nichel, for your comments. I, too, love nature. I am lucky to have trees right out my windows so I may enjoy them every day.

I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Thanks for stopping by.

Well thank you, Virginia. Likewise. Always enjoy your visits. I do have great respect for our vets and those serving now. I notice you are a vet (from your graphic), so I say thanks to you, too.
