That it is, Sue. We have another fine Christmas shop in Issaquah, WA. Others, I'm sure, at other places. You really ought to get up here to visit - not too far for you! Leavenworth is a "must see" - so many other places too.

Thanks for stopping in.

I bet you enjoyed the great weather, Mary. It's going to be warm most of the week. Hooray! But we are lacking in the water area, too, and do need rain.

I love Victoria, BC - is that what you're thinking of? It's one of my favorite places to visit.

There are so many places to go one could spend a lifetime in just a state or province, right? I do hope you make it to Washington one of these days.

Hope all's well your way. Will email soon. Jerri

One more thing: If you want a bike tour that will give you a great view of our state, then go here: http://cascade.org/raw/route.htm - August 19th - 24th bike tour for $465 sounds like heaven. From the sea to the mountains. Hit the Yakima wineries on the way. Read about it. If you want to have a great time, book early - only 200 riders.

» Nichel - A neat town!

Hi Jerrib, I love your article! Leavenworth sounds so interesting with so much to do. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us. Now I'm so interesting in having a Bavarian Buffet breakfast, it sounds very tasty.

And I will check into the Mountain Home Lodge, the way you describe the place - is probing me to perhaps make that a wonderful getaway with my boyfriend. (Not to mention, it's "One Of The Best Places To Kiss") smile

Thanks Jerrib, for a great article.

Take Care,

Hello Nichel: It's great to have you stop by.

I think you'd really like Leavenworth. It's a lot of fun, especially when they have a celebration going on.

I don't know about the Bavarian Buffet breakfast; when we last stayed there it was a normal breakfast.

Doesn't the Mountain Home Lodge sound nice? It's pricey, but if you like solitude, it sounds like the place, doesn't it?

Hope you do take a vacation and drive the North Cascades Highway to Leavenworth. It's really beautiful.

I keep meaning to tell you how much I enjoy your site and your beautiful graphic.

» jerrib - I think so!

We are outdoors-type folks out here. Never let a little rain stop us, either.

Glad the information is helpful, Steve!

Jerri,

No, it wasn't Victoria that I was thinking of, there is another little town in the BC Interior that is a replica of a Bavarian Village. I keep thinking Marysville but I don't think that's it. The other place that comes to me is Kimberely but am not sure it is that one either. It's been a while since I've been there. I have to get this old mind thinking. hehe.

Take care my friend. Hope all is well. Yesterday was a glorious day - no rain but it is raining here again tonight.

RD: I know you'll love Leavenworth. There are lots of other "theme" towns in WA. I'll be writing about another one soon. Jerri

It's okay you don't remember - I do the same. I, like you wanting to come to WA, would like to get into more of Canada. But I keep satisfied with occasional visits to Victoria and Vancouver, BC. I'm sure there are lots of fun places we never know about, but how great to have the internet to research!

Thanks for coming by again, Mary.
