Hi Jerri! I enjoy arm-chair travelling, like Virginia, and this book sounds perfect for that. So are your articles, as far as that goes! Enjoyed the review, Jerri. I've been kind of lonesome today, cause the family departed for home, and their departure has left a void. But they'll be back in July, and my other grandchildren will also be coming, so I have that to look forward to.

I hope everything is going great for you, Jerri. Take care, and enjoy your grands, next week.

Renie

» Tina_Coruth - Another armchair traveler here...

Hi Jerri,
I'm also an armchair traveler and thanks to your wonderful articles, I enjoy my cyber travels through Washington State. Hidden Northwest sounds like a great book. I like the idea that they recount the interesting stories of the places they feature as well as the normal travel info one would expect. Of course, they will have some stiff competition should you decide to write a book!!

There is a void for a while, isn't there? But it goes away in a while, especially if you are exhausted.

Yesterday I called to tell my 5-year-old grandson happy birthday and this little voice over the phone said, "I miss you!" This is the ones we just saw. Melt your heart.

Thanks, as ever, for stopping in.

This, too, shall pass - July isn't that far away.

In response to message posted by Tina_Coruth:

It's high on my list of "to-do's," Tina - writing a book, that is. But it also takes a lot of time, so I really need to get a strategy down so I can keep on track. I plan to get it underway real soon.

Thanks for being such a good friend, Tina. I love learning about your state, too.

Which reminds me, jerri--were it not for you, I would never have tried Braeburn Apples from Washington State. I ALWAYS, in the past, bought Gala, but after trying the Braeburn, I will never go back! I have 1 TB. reduced calorie peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat toast and an apple for breakfast--because that is on the Vanderbilt Rotation Diet that I use. My apple is ALWAYS a Braeburn, now!

PS Please excuse the off topic entry!

Hi Jerri, I was going to post note asking you what unique places you would recommend visitors to your state because a co-worker of mine will be visiting in June 2001. But this article referring the travel book would be great asset - I will pass it along!

Thank you for your informative article!

Best wishes,

In response to message posted by Dubh_Sidhe:

Wow, Virginia! Don't want to get a swelled head here! Braeburns are really great - so juicy and flavorful. Your breakfast sounds so good. I may have to just eat the same this morning. I haven't heard of your diet. Is it a new one?

Nichel: If your friend would like to send an email, I'll be glad to suggest some things based on favorite things to do. I get a lot of emails this time of year for folks planning to come to our state. The book is also helpful, however.

I use travel books (bought or borrowed) frequently. I even buy (or borrow) them before moving to a new state. This review is very helpful. I'm planning a trip to Oegon for business and now I feel compelled to sneak my way up to Washigton in the midst of my travel.

Glad to be of help, 3rd Day. Be sure to check out our Oregon writer here. Just do a search for Oregon and you'll find her. Enjoy your trip. I don't know much time you have, but once you adapt to the rain if you are on the west side of the states, or the sun on the east side - you'll like it here, I'm sure. Jerri
