It has been many years since we were there, so it was great, minus the rain.

Thanks for stopping by and opening the discussion area for this article.

Hi Jerri,

Sounds like a fantastic place. A rustic room with a fireplace sounds wonderful. And there aren't many places you visit that you can say "It hasn't changed a bit."

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Hope everything is going your way.

Linda

There really aren't many places that don't change, so we are lucky to experience this one.

Thanks for stopping by. Always enjoy your visits.

» Tina_Coruth - How wonderful!!

Hi Jerri,

What a wonderful trip!! It must be incredible to look at a tree and know that it is the third oldest tree in the world. To think of all that has happened during that tree's lifetime.

A mile seems a good length - not to long, not too short (especially if there is a salmon dinner awating you at the end!)

Actually, if the temperature is neither too hot, nor too cold, I enjoy being out in the rain. At the website you linked to, I noted that the hottest it gets is 80 degrees. Was it very hot the day you went?

Thank you for another great trip to your beautiful state!!
Tina
