Hi Jerri,

What a wonderful trip!! It must be incredible to look at a tree and know that it is the third oldest tree in the world. To think of all that has happened during that tree's lifetime.

A mile seems a good length - not to long,not too short (especially if there is a salmon dinner awating you at the end!)

Actually, if the temperature is neither too hot, nor too cold, I enjoy being out in the rain. At the website you linked to, I noted that the hottest it gets is 80 degrees. Was it very hot the day you went?
