Must rush off to a meeting. Must go but I will post when I get something more trickly to show you. -- posted by Jo Murphy » Carol Wallace - Re: Rain Drops on Roses and Whiskers on ...dededeeee..do.. do..d In response to message posted by martine3038:The lady in the book only painted perfectly round drops - but they were all supposed to be gentle dew drops. Rain falls differently than dew and will drip and distort. Your raindrops are pretty good - especially the one that has to span both the red and yellow. But i think they need a wee bit of a pure white highlight in the upper right - that seems to be what makes the whole thing look transparent. Yes - please do link to my Advanced Stenciling Course - I worked SOOOO hard on that and as yet not a single soul has signed up for it. Maybe it needs a new title? Maybe most people figure that onceyou've mastered pouncing that brush through the opening you don't need to know much more. If they only knew what a challenge glass is, or even the different pitfalls of stenciling fabric! I painted another plate (mostly) yesterday. It needs a few finishing touches but is almost ready for baking. I wish I could figure out how to paint a dewdrop in reverse. And yes, you may quote me. My concerns was that I might have repeated the books instrucitons in which case it wouldn't be me you were quoting. But I really did take it from the pictures instead of repeating her words. -- posted by Carol Wallace

I am sure it won't be the same by the time I show it with your examples my examples and photos. I still haven't posted the next take of the creation! Every now and then paid work beckons me and I just have to go! I will of course post when I can and give you the link to your link. Carol I think that even the word 'Advanced' Talk soon, -- posted by Jo Murphy » Carol Wallace - Re: Chinese Whsipers In response to message posted by martine3038:As I slap myself onthe side of my head in dismay - I am always preaching at the deans to look at their course names to make sure they will attract people and sound good to them - of COURSE! Now I need to comeup with a new title for the thing. Paid work - yeah - it keeps getting in my way, too. Like all of a sudden I have been super-motivated to work on my book. And that cuts into my online time just as your paying work does for you. -- posted by Carol Wallace

I am on the fly - so I thought I would drop that one into the pot. However I don't know that I was being so bold as to suggest you change the name. I just know the kind of response I am seeing. Do you know I am having a tremendous response to a free email responder course. Pre - sell? Carol I am aware of trying to get up into the AAAA's so I am going for Action Kids Cartooning? I'll be away til Thursday. I'll post your links then, -- posted by Jo Murphy » Carol Wallace - Re: Artists Stencilling Activities? In response to message posted by martine3038:That's why I liked the title Advanced Stenciling - it was way at the top of the list. But I think you're right about it perhaps being a bit scary. How did you set up this free e-mail course and how does it pre-sell? Are you only giving them a sample of what the main course will be? Or what? How did you get the people to sign up? -- posted by Carol Wallace

A lady wrote to me and asked whether I would have art classes in her area.
That went over well. So the presell course will be written very very simply. In Constant Contact.Do-It-Yourself Email Marketing Which can be scheduled as an autoresponder type course. They will say not tooooo often enrol in the course take advantage of these benefits.... The presell can hum a long for quite a while. I intend to apply to create a series of kids art classes with a new focus to each one but keep them quick simple and the cheaper price so that they can be repeat and loyal customers. This is the first time any one in Australia has been interested in online instead of insisting to have me there in person. I know it has been a long time coming but Rome wasn't built in a day. Any way. I can't wait to show you the painting as it is evolving over the weekend. Hope you are well and the pain isn't toooo aweful. -- posted by Jo Murphy » Carol Wallace - Re: Action Kids Art Classes! In response to message posted by martine3038:That is so cool about your paintings and pprints and huge mural!! Things really are coming together for you, aren't they? I've been having such great difficulty the past few days even getting online that I hesitate to try any other activities that demand that I get connected. But since I managed to get through now I guess O would be smart to head to my ISPs site and get hold of tech support and ask why the sudden problems. Then I will check out Constant Contact. -- posted by Carol Wallace

Hmmm. I am hoping that in the end I change my site to the suite and do the lot from here. Such as compile eBooks etc. Make it just the one streamlined approach. Jo -- posted by Jo Murphy » Carol Wallace - Re: EClasses In response to message posted by martine3038:Do we have newsletter software, other than what HO uses? I know back when I was managing editor for gardening we did, but I haven't used it in so long I wasn't sure it was still there. And whether it has been upgraded. When I used it, it was text only. -- posted by Carol Wallace « Previous 1 2 3 Next » Please follow the guidelines set forth in the Suite101 Posting Etiquette when adding to the discussion. |
