» Carol Wallace - Does anyone think these are tacky?

I like the fact that they are sort of stone colored (Are these plastic too?) and I like the fact that they have been thoughtfully placed in the landscape.) More clever than awful - in my book.

Could they be Sherlock Gnomes, looking for clues?

It DOES look that way, doesn't it?

Hi Martin and welcome to our tacky yard art contest. I'm glad to see that all those years of computer programming haven't affected your sense of humor!

And in France! Where all these gnomes are - or used to be! I wonder if these are all still there?

I remember a few years ago someone found tons of concrete and plastic gnomes in some forest in France - that's when the Gnomes Liberation group had taken themall away from the towns and - as they put it - returned them to their natural habitat."

But I didn't know it was still going on!

Wasn't there a nationwide movement to liberate all garden ornaments several years ago?
