Silver lace vine care: Silver Lace vine dying

My silver lace vine was doing great until the heat of the summer hit. We planted it against a block wall and even though it gets plenty of water, the leaves turned yellow and fell off. If you scratch it its still green and we'd like to save it even if it means moving it. We live in Beaumont, CA, I think it's a zone 9. Temps have been up to 104. Please help.
