» Flamingal - Wildflowers in the Wind~ Carol, this is such a lovely article, and I am going to pass this on to everyone I know...to read and spread the beauty of flowers. After my recent visit to Vermont and seeing wildflowers in abundance, along the roadsides, at street corners, gas stations, in yards, amongst the rocky areas in the mountains....I was in awe of their beauty and came home to FL, thinking what a shame it is, that we don't have the same beauty in a state that has year-round warm climates.I've searched and found a company in VT, not far from where I was visiting my new GrandBaby, that sells wildflower seeds for all different parts of the country...so I too, shall take on my own 'mystery' name of "flowers in the wind"...granting others to see their beauty! Thanks for sharing this lovely story. -- posted by Flamingal » Carol Wallace - That's GREAT, Rosemary!! I was going to write to them, and to some other seed companies to see what they do with their weardated seeds when they pass the date. Maybe we could get a sort of exchange going so that anyone who wanted to scatter beauty as they walked could get them. They may not germinate as well as fresh - but it's better than wasting them - and now that you've seen the wildflowers of Vermont I'll bet you can imagine a lot of places that could use a bit of random sowing.-- posted by Carol Wallace
